Congratulations on joining Clayfolk’s brand new Handbuilt Books Class!

In this class we will be building a book-box! Refine your handbuilding skills through creating a realistic appearing book that also serves as a box. In this class you will learn key handbuilding methods using slabs and coils to create a sound structure, as well as surface design techniques to embellish your project. The book-box presents the notorious challenge of uniting function and form, inviting students to hone their skills and get creative. Whether you're a handbuilding beginner or a seasoned slab roller, you will benefit from the fun challenge of this project. The techniques demonstrated in this class will aid you in many of your handbuilding endeavours!
